Attendance, homework and results (Parent app)

JPX Parent shows your child's school day as the school records it: the attendance register, the homework teachers set, what each period covered, and the results and report cards the school publishes. Everything here is read-only. Only the modules your school allows appear on Home.

Before you start#

• You are signed in to JPX Parent. See Install JPX Parent and sign in.
• If you have linked more than one child, switch to the right child first under More › Linked students.

Attendance#

1. On Home, tap Attendance.
2. Use the arrows beside the month to move between months.
3. The ring shows the counts for the month: Present, Absent, Late, Leave, and Half day or Out / home where the school uses them.
4. Tap the counts card to switch between This month and Whole session.
5. Scroll to Calendar to see each day in its status colour.
6. Scroll to Remarks to read notes the school wrote in the register.

If your child stays in the school hostel, choose School attendance or Hostel attendance at the top.

Homework#

1. On Home, tap E-Diary & Homework, then the Homework tab.
2. Choose Pending or Past.
3. To narrow the list, choose a subject or type in Search title, instructions or teacher.
4. Each homework card shows the subject, teacher, instructions, due date and any files the teacher attached. Tap a file to open it.
5. Tap Mark as seen to tell the teacher you have read it.
6. If the teacher asked families to confirm completion, tap Mark as done when it is finished. To take it back, tap Done · Undo.

Due dates are shown as Due today, Due tomorrow, Due in 3 days, Overdue or Was due with the date.

Class E-Diary#

1. Open E-Diary & Homework and tap the E-Diary tab.
2. Move between days with the day stepper at the top.
3. Each period shows what the teacher covered and any homework set in that lesson.

If nothing is written for a day, the app says so. Teachers write the diary period by period, and entries appear as soon as they are saved.

Exam results#

1. On Home, tap Results & Report Cards, then the Exam results tab.
2. Choose the Examination.
3. The ring shows the overall percentage and total marks.
4. Labels show CLASS RANK, SCHOOL RANK, PASSED or NOT PASSED where the school has published them.
5. Under Subjects, read the marks and grade for each subject.
6. Tap View Detailed Report for the full marks table and the teacher's remarks.

If a result shows RESULT WITHHELD, contact the school office.

Report cards#

1. Open Results & Report Cards and tap the Report cards tab.
2. Report cards are grouped by academic session. Tap a card to open it.
3. The card shows the student's details, Scholastic areas subject by subject, Term totals, Co-scholastic areas, Discipline, Attendance term by term, the Class teacher's remarks and How to read the grades.

The card uses these short forms: AB absent, EX exempt (on leave), — not entered, W/H withheld.

Good to know#

• Only published results and report cards reach the app. They appear as soon as the school publishes them.
• If the school withdraws a report card, it disappears from the app the next time the list is read.
• Printed marksheets and certificates are issued by the school office. Use the reference on the printed copy to verify it.
• School staff can read how these records are kept in the School ERP guides for attendance, E-Diary and homework and results and report cards.
