Invoices and GST
When you receive a JPRAXC GST tax invoice, what it shows, how your GSTIN affects it, and what happens on a refund.
Every JPRAXC purchase is billed on a GST tax invoice issued by JPRAXC Infynex Private Limited. The invoice is created only after your payment is confirmed, and it is e-mailed to the administrator as a PDF. This guide explains what the invoice shows and why the GSTIN you give matters.
When you receive an invoice#
| Situation | What is attached | |
|---|---|---|
| You paid a Payment request from Sales | Payment received · GST invoice … | The invoice PDF |
| You bought an add-on or renewed from inside School ERP | Purchase confirmed · … · GST invoice … | The invoice PDF |
The invoice e-mail is also your receipt. Before payment, the Payment request e-mail shows the same lines and totals, so you can check the figures before you pay.
What the invoice shows#
- The heading GST TAX INVOICE, marked Original for recipient, with the invoice number and date.
- Supplier: JPRAXC's legal name, address, GSTIN and PAN, e-mail and phone.
- Recipient: your legal / invoicing name and billing address, marked REGISTERED - B2B if you gave a GSTIN, or UNREGISTERED - B2C if you did not.
- Place of supply, and whether the supply is intra-State or inter-State.
- One line for each plan or service, with its SAC code, term, rate and amount.
- The tax: CGST and SGST at half the rate each for an intra-State supply, or IGST at the full rate for an inter-State supply.
- The total after discount and GST, the amount in words, and your purchase reference.
- A declaration that the invoice is computer-generated and needs no signature.
How your GSTIN affects the invoice#
- You gave a GSTIN (B2B). The invoice is raised on that GSTIN. The place of supply is the State the GSTIN belongs to, not the State typed in the address. You can use the invoice to claim input tax credit, subject to the usual GST rules.
- You left the GSTIN blank (B2C). The invoice is raised without a GSTIN, and the place of supply comes from your billing address.
- Whether JPRAXC charges CGST + SGST or IGST depends on whether your place of supply is in the same State as JPRAXC's registration (Uttar Pradesh) or a different one.
Good to know#
- Prices are shown in rupees, and GST at the applicable rate is added on the tax invoice.
- The invoice goes to the administrator e-mail even when the payment request went to a separate billing e-mail. Forward it to your accounts team.
- Under the Refund & Cancellation Policy (opens in a new tab), a refund is documented with a credit note against the original tax invoice, sent to the billing e-mail on the order. If you have already claimed input tax credit on the original invoice, reverse it to the extent of the credit note.
- If your school collects fees online through its own payment gateway, those receipts come from your school's ERP, not from JPRAXC. See the Payment gateways section.
