Your data and privacy
A plain summary of who controls your school's records, what JPRAXC keeps about you, and how to ask to see, correct or erase personal data.
This page is a short, plain summary. The binding text is the Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab), together with the Mobile App Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and the other pages on jpraxc.com/legal (opens in a new tab). If anything here differs from those pages, those pages apply.
Your school's records belong to your school#
- The school (or hospital, or business) decides what it records about students, guardians, staff, patients or customers, who can see it, what it publishes through its portals and apps, and how long it keeps it.
- JPRAXC processes those records only to provide, secure and support the service, on the organisation's instructions. It does not sell them, use them for advertising or use them for its own purposes.
- If you are a parent, student or staff member and want to see or correct a record your school holds, start with your school's office or administrator. JPRAXC helps the school answer.
Where the data lives#
| Edition | Where your records are kept |
|---|---|
| Offline / Local | On your organisation's own computer or server. JPRAXC has no access unless you give it, for example for support, migration or an agreed backup. |
| Cloud | In hosting run by JPRAXC or a hosting provider it arranges, in India unless your order says otherwise. Authorised JPRAXC staff see data only when needed to provide the service. |
In both editions you can ask for an export of your organisation's data. At the end of a Cloud service there is an export period before the hosted data is deleted; the Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) give the details.
What JPRAXC keeps about you#
- When you send a demo, pricing, purchase or support request: your name, organisation, contact details and what you asked, so JPRAXC can answer and keep a record.
- For your sign-in: your account details and the security records needed to let you in and keep others out.
- For complaints, grievances and feedback: what you sent and what was decided.
- Promotional messages only if you ticked the separate promotional choice. See The promotional contact choice.
JPRAXC does not sell personal data.
Your rights#
You can ask to see, correct or erase personal data JPRAXC holds about you, withdraw consent you gave, or complain about how it was handled.
- Write to the Grievance Officer at grievance@jpraxc.com with the subject "Privacy request", or use the Privacy / account or data deletion category of the direct report form on the grievances page (opens in a new tab).
- Say who you are, which e-mail address or phone number the data relates to, and what you want done.
- JPRAXC answers within 30 days, and tells you if a record must be kept for a legal reason.
Do not send passwords, one-time codes or copies of identity documents unless JPRAXC asks for a specific document to check your identity.
Good to know#
- The mobile apps have their own notice, which lists what each app uses, what stays on the phone and the permissions it asks for: Mobile App Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Never put passwords, Aadhaar numbers or complete student or health records into website forms, chat or e-mail to JPRAXC.
- The school remains responsible for its own notices and consents to parents, staff and students. JPRAXC's pages are not legal advice to your organisation.
