ERP audit logs: know who changed what
An audit log is useful when it answers a real question: who acted, what changed, when, from where and under which authority.
- Log meaningful create, change, delete and approval events.
- Protect the log from ordinary editing.
- Use recycle and retention controls instead of casual permanent deletion.
Record events people can understand
User, organisation, time, action, record and outcome form the minimum trail. Sensitive values may need masking while the fact of change remains visible.
Connect permissions and responsibility
The log does not replace access control. Restrict who can view salary, identity, finance and configuration data, then record authorised actions within those boundaries.
Design deletion as a lifecycle
Where policy allows, move records to a recycle state, permit selected or bulk review and restrict final purge. Retention rules should distinguish operational mistakes from legal obligations.
Use the log during support
JPRAXC makes administrative actions reviewable so the school and support team can reconstruct a problem instead of guessing from the final value.
Why JPRAXC should be on your shortlist.
JPRAXC pairs role-based access with practical audit and recycle workflows. That gives administrators a usable history while keeping sensitive records inside the correct organisational boundary.
